About Me

A weight port permanently positioned in the center of the back of an iron head during assembly, the Precision Weighting Port assures that each TaylorMade R11 Irons in the set is of uniform swingweight while also ensuring that the CG location is precisely and optimally positioned in the center of the face between the toe and heel. In the past, clubmakers have installed cartridges of varying weight in the hosel to adjust swingweight, and by doing so have pulled the CG closer to the heel to varying degrees, resulting in a set of irons consistent in swingweight but inconsistent in CG location.

R11 Irons 4-9PAS is on Sale

Lastly, the Taylormade R11 irons have a shallow undercut channel between the face and rear to control feel and CG location, the mid-irons have a moderate undercut, and the long irons have a progressively larger undercut that pulls weight farther back from the face for added forgiveness.

The newest taylormade r11 irons has pushed a new production the r11 irons 4-9pas. For taylormade irons, there are some features, such as ultra-thin face thickness promotes faster ball speed and distance. Inverted Cone Technology promotes faster ball speed and distance on off-center hits. Multi-Functional sole increases playability from a variety of lies. Progressive topline thickness promotes confidence at address throughout the set. Advanced groove design promotes increased spin and control. The Taylormade R11 features a dual head design made for both performance and control. The 3-5 irons feature a high repulsion face with hollow cavity structure for increased distance. The 6-Wedge features a more compact undercut pocket cavity with a focus on feel, control and accuracy. The R11 features variable face thickness. The R11 Irons pack in a heightened COR via a “Velocity-Control Chamber”, VCC foam, silicone shock absorber, and a vibration-silencing cavity bridge that work in unison to reduce vibration, and an Optimized Inverted Cone that brings a larger COR area and improved control over your shot distance.

These clubs have some welcome heft to them, which for us, makes all the difference for a smooth feel and tempo. We’ve played several rounds with the R11 Irons and they’ve found themselves a secure place in our bag for this season. While the top line is thinner than other irons in the good player/semi-game enhancement market (6-18ish handicap), ball compression is effortless so we hardly noticed. We have to commend TaylorMade for the use of specifically designed KBS shafts to round out a stellar set of irons. Distance irons and musclebacks have their place in the market, but for those of us in the middle do yourself and your game a favor and play the best of both worlds.
